I was also surprised to see that Groove Tube el84s are fairly expensive, relative to other brands. tubes are better-sounding (to me) than the other two brands that I've previously used. So, because I reflexively swap out stock tubes, and because the Tung Sol amp (the one with crappy stock tubes) was mass-produced, I just assumed that the Fender.anyway, the stock Blues Jr. I swapped in Tung Sols, and the improvement was obvious. The Tung Sol amplifier (VHT) is hand-wired, but mass-produced, and came with no-name tubes. Because it's a reflex, I swapped in some Tung Sols, and quickly swapped them out for the stock JJs, because the JJs simply sounded better. The JJ amp (Gries 5) came with JJs it's a hand-built boutique amplifier. I've got two other tube amps one is definitely a Tung Sol amp, and the other is clearly a JJ amp. I still haven't tried Tung Sol el84s, so that's probably ahead of me, but I really was surprised by the Groove Tubes, if only because "everyone" (that guy) hates stock tubes in Fender amplifiers, and I just haven't seen anyone express enthusiasm for Groove Tubes - they always seemed to be tolerable stock tubes that good people would replace. I was still unsatisfied - I had gotten a great sound out of the amp before I began replacing the stock tubes, and I wanted to get at least as good as that with any replacement tubes - so I put the stock Groove Tube preamp tubes back into place.and the amp was stock again. That still wasn't ideal, so I put the stock Groove Tube el84s back into the power section. I was disappointed by the results, but still biased against stock tubes, so I swapped out the JJ preamp tubes for some Tung Sols. So I bought a set of JJs immediately after ordering the amplifier, and I put them in a day or so after I got the amplifier. The amp sounded great out of the box, but it's just a reflex for me to swap out stock tubes at this point. Last year, I benefited from the mentoring program.I am very surprised to find that I really like the stock Groove Tubes in my new Blues Jr. I was also given the means to develop and thrive. I was able to progress, even after going on maternity leave three times. Personally, I have always appreciated the trust placed in me at Vallourec. "Contributing to the training of the next generation and attracting young talent to the industry is particularly motivating." I also had the opportunity to give, over two consecutive years, 20 hours of lectures on corrosion at Université Polytechnique des Hauts de France to students on a study/work master's program. I try as much as possible to align my team's current and even future missions with what motivates each person. Helping young employees develop and fulfill their potential, both in terms of their technical and behavioral skills, is really satisfying on a personal level. We often have young graduates at the research center. I also really appreciate the managerial side of my role. I like to take on these challenges and not stay in my comfort zone. The research center is increasingly involved in energy-transition matters: an environment in which I have a lot to learn and it is this aspect that motivates me. And there are always new development opportunities." We carry out research, but we are close to production and customers, so we have stringent time requirements. "I like the variety, the richness of the missions and the fact that the company has a tangible technical culture.
